UVic ESCM simulations for: Estimated climate impact of replacing agriculture as the primary food production system
Directory "Idealized" contains simulations of individual and combined agricultural climate forcings. "LUC" is land-use-change. "biophys" are simulation of the biophysical component of land-use change.
Directory "SSPs" contains simulations with the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways. "ECS" denoted equilibrium climate sensitivity.
"Baseline" are the standard SSP simulations.
"Emissions" are the CO2 emissions driven simulations with bacilliculture. "
Temperature_Track" are simulations which track the temperature in the baseline simulations with bacilliculture (used to estimate additional allowable emissions).
"No_Negative_Emission" are modified emission driven simulations with bacilliculture, wherein CO2 emissions are halted at 0 and thus negative emissions are not allowed.

<b>Measuring What Matters</b>

In May and June of 2019, 80 000 Nova Scotia households received an invitation in their mailboxes to participate in a first-of-its-kind survey measuring quality of life across the province. The survey asked how people feel they are doing in eight key areas related to their quality of life.
<br><br>
Our research partners, the Canadian Index of Wellbeing, have compiled the information collected from the survey into data sets and reports. The summary results were released in March 2020 and additional reports are scheduled for release later in the year. These reports will serve as the foundation for innovative approaches to priority setting and planning at a local level for years to come. The map below shows where those regional groups are.

<br><br>
The survey focused on alternative measures of progress, beyond GDP, and explored how Nova Scotians are doing in eight areas that affect their wellbeing: community vitality, living standards, healthy populations, democratic engagement, leisure and culture, time use, the environment and education. <br><br>
12,827 Nova Scotians participated in our 230-question survey. This confirms our belief that they are behind the project.

An aggregated dataset of methane emission measurements from Canadian oil and gas sites. Measurements were collected between 2007 and 2020, using a variety of techniques and sensors. The dataset consists of both published and unpublished measurements, and includes details such as site and/or component type(s), site location (approximate), measurement date, measurement technique, and quantified rate.

<p>This directory contains the UVic ESCM model output for MacDougall, 2021, “Estimated effect of the permafrost carbon feedback on the zero emissions commitment to climate change”</p>
<p>Parameters: Contains ASCII files with parameter values for each model variant. ECS is degrees K per doubling of atmospheric CO2. Arctic amplification is the ratio of warming north of 60 degrees divided by global temperature.</p>

Datasets were obtained from ship-based measurements in the northern Labrador Sea and Baffin Bay in Canada onboard the CCGS Amundsen.
The datasets are divided into:
1. Atmospheric measurements
2. Results from water sampling
3. Calculated sea-air fluxes
