The Statistics schedules consist of data provided to the ministry by local governments in annual financial reporting forms. While the ministry does perform checks of the data, we do not guarantee its accuracy or validity. Users should contact local governments directly if confirmation is required. Beginning in 2002 the schedules have been amended to reflect Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) for local governments, thus they differ greatly from previous years. Regional District statistics use the current year assessments supplied by BC Assessment in April and revised population estimates certified by the Minister responsible. Terrestrial Ecosystem Information (TEI) Mailbox This dataset is not currently available in the BCGW but may be downloaded in geodatabase format. Please refer to: Terrestrial Ecosystem Information (TEI) Data Distribution Packages. PEM_20K contains 1 to 20,000 PEM polygons with key and amalgamated (concatenated) attributes derived from the Resource Inventory Standards Committee (RISC) standard attributes. PEM divides the landscape into units according to a variety of ecological features including climate, physiography, surficial material, bedrock geology, soils and vegetation. PEM uses a modeling approach to ecosystem mapping, whereby existing knowledge of ecosystem attributes and relationships are used to predict ecosystem representation in the landscape. This layer is derived from the STE_TEI_ATTRIBUTE_POLYS_SP layer by filtering on the PROJECT_TYPE and PROJECT_MAP_SCALE attributes. https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content?id=1AAACC9C65754E4D89A118B875E0FBDA

Pauline Hubregtse Landscape Units are spatially identified areas of land and/or water used for long-term planning of resource management activities. Landscape units are important for designing strategies and objectives to maintain landscape level biodiversity and for managing other forest resources. Landscape units are also used to initiate landscape unit plans, which provide direction on biodiversity, old growth forest retention, wildlife habitat maintenance and timber harvesting. LUs may also be used as planning zones for other stakeholders in addition to forest licensees and MOFR. This spatial view was created based on the selection from the layer LANDSCAPE UNIT SP, where the DATE OF RETIREMENT is null. Therefore, only current LU shapes are included in this layer https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content?id=A519A56BC2BF44E4A008B33FCF527F61

Joy Sinnett These point locations were determined from metes and bounds descriptions as written in Letters Patent for the following administrative boundaries: * Province of BC * Regional Districts * Municipalities * Electoral Areas * Islands Trust * Local Trust Areas Point locations often represent the beginning or end of a segment defined by a metes and bounds descriptor. Point locations may also represent the intersection of two boundary line segments if it is not a surveyed point (e.g., the boundary switches from following height of land to the centerline of a river). This is an internal only dataset. The data has an attribute called PUBLIC_IND which indicates whether the record is public (Y) or not public (N). Only records which are public appear in the publicly accessible version, which is available [here](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/legally-defined-administrative-areas-of-bc-boundary-locations). A complimentary polygonal dataset that defines the administrative areas is also available [here](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/legally-defined-administrative-areas-of-bc).
