Clarke; Wrenshall, Luka 1990 This study was conducted as part of the "Support for Democratic Politics: The Case of Canada" study funded by the United States National Science Foundation. Its purpose was to study the political attitudes and behavior of the Canadian electorate.The 1990 survey's 161 variables are derived from an extensive battery of questions on respondents' evaluations of national and personal economies and their support for national political authorities and for regional and community politics. Also included are demographic characteristics of respondents, such as occupation, education, language, age, life satisfaction, and income.

Environics International Ltd.; Canadian Opinion Research Archive 2000 The findings of the Environics Global Issues Monitor, 2001 Survey are based on the results of face-to face or telephone interviews with representative samples of about 1,000 citizens in each of 20 countries on five continents. Environics 2001 Global Issues Monitor survey was conducted in the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United States. Research was conducted by respected social research institutes in each country between November 23, 2000 and February 9, 2001. In Canada, the survey was conducted by Environics Research Group Ltd. It consisted of a nation-wide telephone survey with a sample of 1,015 individuals, 18 years and older carried out between December 11 and December 19, 2000. Environics 2012 The Focus Canada 2012 survey was conducted for the Institute by Research House, and was based on telephone interviews with a representative sample of 1,500 Canadians (aged 18 and over) between November 15 and December 5, 2012. The survey sample is stratified to ensure coverage of all 10 provinces, and is representative of the population by age cohort, gender and community size. The results from a survey of this size drawn from the population would be expected to produce results accurate to within plus or minus 2.5 percentage points, in 95 out of 100 samples (the margin of sampling error will be larger for specific subgroups of the population). CROP 2004 The CROP Inc. political surveys in the Canadian Opinion Research Archive are focussed primarily on the political attitudes of residents in Quebec. The surveys were conducted on an occasional basis depending on events in the province. The are concentrated, in particular, around events in constitutional negotiations and elections. Environics 1991 Environics Environmental Monitor (EEM) is a public opinion survey of Canadian citizens on attitudes toward environmental and natural resource issues. Currently, data surveys are available through the Canadian Opinion Research Archive from 1987. CROP 1991 The Socio-Cultural surveys are part of a major series of comparative international studies of basic values. Parallel surveys are done each year in several European countries and the United States. CROP Inc. began this series in Canada in 1983. These surveys investigate a wide range of basic attitudes- social, cultural, economic and political.
